E-mail filters

RoundCube interface allows to create excellent mail filters for your mailbox. Filtering tool connects so-called filter sets, which you can download and use even for a different mailbox. You can find here automatic response. SPAM filter etc.


1. Log in at Webmail

2. Select Settings in the left menu

3. Select item Filters on the left

This page is divided into Filter sets (A) and specific Filters (B). Filter sets can be created/edited by selecting “Actions” while new filters can be applied by selecting “Create”

If you have already created any filters previously, they will be displayed in the filter set “managesieve”. Thus we do not recommend to delete this filter set.

FILTER EXAMPLES

1. Automated response

If you want to set a filter for automated response, for example if you are on a vacation, you can simply create a new filter by a steps bellow:

Enter the Filter name(A), for incoming messages select all messages(B). In the section “…apply these actions” select Reply by message(C). Fill in Message body and Subject. Then simply Save(D) the changes.

This filter will send filled in response to each new incoming e-mail.

2. Antispam filter

I a case your mailbox is filled with SPAM, you can set following filter.

Enter the Filter name(A), for incoming messages select complying with any of the following rules (prefilled). As a condition set Subject, contains, [SPAM](B). In the section “…apply these actions” select Move message – unwanted messages(C) or alternatively different action you want to do. Then simply Save(D) the changes.

3. no-reply filter

If someone sends you a message at no-reply email, you can let him know by setting the following filter on the mailbox:

Enter the Filter name. Set Scope to All messages. For Action select Reply with message and set the text and subject of your reply.

4. Redirect

If you want to redirect the received email to a different mailbox, you can create the following filter:

  • Fill in the Filter Name
  • Set the scope as required
  • For Action, select Redirect message to and set the email box where you want to forward the mail.

5. Writing specific domains

For example, if you need to block or allow emails only from a specific domain, you need to set a rule. For the .RU domain extension, the rule will look like this:

From | matches regular expression | .ru>$

The value of the domain extension must include the >$ characters after the domain or the setting will not be correct.
