Currently for operating system (20.04, and 22.04) you can choose from multiple version of the server. Except for minimal, basic installation there are other versions available:
LAMP
- Linux + Apache 2.4 + MySQL 8.0 + PHP 7.4/8.1
LEMP
- Linux + Nginx 1.17 + MySQL 8.0 + PHP 7.4/8.1
Server Manager
- LAMP version with GUI interface for Active24 management (not available for new servers)
APACHE OR NGINX?
These are two widespread application servers. What is the difference and how should you decide? It is not clear and more factors should be considered – for example we use the combination of Apache + PHP for dynamic websites and Nginx for static.
