If you have your domain registered with Active24 but you need to connect it with hosting from external provider, you need to set DNS records. These DNS records will be attainable by your hosting provider or in admin interface of your hosting service.
Editing DNS NS records
You can issue the change of the NS records straight from the WebAdmin. Just follow this guideline:
- Login to the WebAdmin
- Select your Domain in the Services tab
- Select Nameserver in the left menu
- Select Custom NS and enter values from your hosting
Alternative options
You can also connect your domain to an external server not by changing the main NS records but with a change in other DNS records (A, CNAME, MX, etc.) All of these records you can find in the WebAdmin interface.
Editing A records
A record is an IP address of your hosting. This IP address will be granted by your hosting provider.
1. Select A records in the WebAdmin interface under the DNS section.
2. Edit two following items: domain.tld and *.domain.tld.
3. Select Edit to make changes in the records. Insert your hosting address.

Editing CNAME record
CNAME record represents domain alias. This record is provided by your hosting provider.

Other alternatives
In DNS section there are some automatic settings to directing your domain to e.g. Tumblr, WordPress, Amazon, Heroku, GitHub, Weebly etc.
Redirect
If your hosting is under a different domain name and your provider does not support the other redirects like CNAME record, you can utilize our redirect service. It can help you to redirect your domain to any other domain. To redirect in this way to external hosting server you have the option to choose unmasked redirect.
