If you are using an e-mail client, it may happen that the settings of saving e-mails may differ from the one on our server. If your mails are not stored in the correct folders or your e-mail client displays errors while saving messages, it is necessary to edit the directory mapping.
Comparing of the directory names
E-mail client – as an example we have used Thunderbird, but the guide is comparable with other e-mail clients, such as Outlook. On the left side you can see names of all directories, that are located on the account.

Webmail – on the left side select settings and then select the category “Special folders”.

If you would send an e-mail from webmail, it would be stored into a directory INBOX.Sent. You would locate it at the same directory in the client. But if you would send e-mail from client, it would be stored in Sent.
Change of mapped directories
1. Select Settings and then select the category Folders. Create a new folder by selecting “+”(plus) symbol on the top.

2. Enter the same Folder name as your e-mail client uses. In this case it would be Sent for sent messages. Leave Parent folder empty – this option is used only when you want to create a subdirectory (e.g. “work” under the inbox directory).

3. Go back to settings and select Special folders. Select the category you want to change mapping for. From the drop-down list select the folder that you created in the previous step.
e.g. in our case we want to change folder Sent to Sent items

If you now try to send a message from webmail and then go to the client (Thunderbird) you can now see that it has been stored in the Sent folder. And vice versa.
After the synchronization of all folder names the message will be stored to the same directory no matter if your access your e-mail from webmail or from an e-mail client.
