E-mails via Google Apps

If the webmail interfaces RoundCube and Horde don’t suit your and you do not want to use classic e-mail client like Outlook or Thunderbird, you can use for your domain e-mail system from the Google company, that is part of the Google Apps.

After its activation for the domain all management of your e-mails is transferred to Google. That means that the user will de facto work with Gmail, but your e-mail addresses will be under your domain (something@yourdomain.tld). It meas as well that creation of new addresses, deleting old ones, change of passwords, antispam settings will be under Google administration interface.

Transfer your e-mail to Google

To transfer your e-mails to Google requires verification of the domain, creating google account and change of MX records. This change will ensure that all management of your addresses on your domain (something@yourdomain.tld) will be delivered to the Google mail server.

Change of MX records

1. Log in to the Webmail

2. Select the domain you want to change MX at in the Services section

3. In the left menu select DNS and then select Quick settings and look up Google Mail

Change of DNS settings on our servers takes about 5 minutes. The change in the rest of the world depends on the TTL parameter. It usually takes 15 minutes but it may take up to 24 hours. If the change is not visible after this time, clear the cache memory of your computer.
