In a case you are getting error message Database connection error or similar database related error, you most likely have a wrong database details in the configuration file by which your server connects to the database. File has to be edited with correct login information.
Setting configuration file for CMS Joomla
The guide is similar like in WordPress, except the configuration file is named configuration.php. Here simply set the values for database connections. The file is located in WEB or SUB dirctory, depending if the CMS is on the main domain or subdomain.
