Transfer of the domain is a process of the change of the domain registrar. After the transfer is complete, we will be notified as a new registrar about the domain and the owner. After that you can manage your domain in our interface, manage its DNS records or owner details.
Who is the registrar?
Registrar is a person (natural or juridical), who is allowed by the user to manage the domain. To fill the domain’s purpose (be directed to a hosting) it needs to be set properly and that is what registrar menages.
How to make a change of registrar?
If you are interested in the change of registrar fill the order under your account. The fee for the domain transfer of the domain is usually at the price of the renewal for a year (but may differ). After the change of registrar the domain will be renewed for another year from the current date of expiration.
From your side from the current registrar you need to request an AUTH INFO code (AUTH ID, authorization code or EPP code) that you will enter during the transfer order.
What do you need for a transfer of the domain?
- Authorization code – a safety element that is provided by the current registrar usually from the user interface. This code is entered during the order for the registrar changer/domain transfer.
- Own a domain – the transfer can be legally done only by the domain owner
- Have your domain valid at least for two more weeks – it is mostly our safety precaution, so the domain would not expire during the transfer which could lead to problems and unavailability of the domain.
- Have a functional owner contact e-mail
After the order is accepted a proforma invoice will be sent to your contact e-mail. After the invoice is paid in our system and the authorization code is correct the transfer will be initiated at the national registry for .EU domains. Domain will be transferred to the management of our company within few minutes. After that you can change the DNS records in the administration as you need.
Change of registrar of gTLD (.com, .net, .info, .org,…) domains
An extra step for a transfer of gTLD domains is authorization of the transfer and unlocking for transfer. The domain owner will receive a validation e-mail that has to be confirmed, otherwise the transfer will be ended. After the confirmation the domain will go to our management within 5 days.
Change of registrar for .hu domains
To start the transfer, you will first need to order the transfer of this domain under your account. At the same time, your further cooperation will be required. Therefore, please send us an authorized request so that we can send you the necessary documents and information for the transfer of your domain.
Mass change of registrar
A transfer of vast number of domains (dozens, hundreds) is possible to do automatically without the need of manually placing the order via website. Simply prepare the CSV export with the list of the domains and their authorized codes.
