Webforward – domain redirect

Through this service you can redirect a domain to any other website.

The service can be used only if the domain is registered with our company and you have set up our nameservers and the domain is directed to the default IP address.

When redirecting, the destination address is displayed in the browser address and the site visitor can clearly see that they have been redirected elsewhere.

The Webforward service is only available for a domain that is not assigned to Hosting or Website builder. If you have a domain connected to Hosting, it is possible to set up forwarding via Hosting assignment.

How do I set up Webforward?

1. Log in to Webadmin

2. Go to the Services section and select the domain where you want to set up Webforward.

3. Go to Domain Redirection > Webforward

4.a. Set up a webforward for the domain or subdomain. For a subdomain, fill in the Address field before your domain. For the main domain, leave the field blank

4. b. In the Target website field, type the URL of the target domain to which you want to redirect the domain.

5. Select Continue to proceed

In order to work properly, the domain must be registered with us and use our nameservers and default address must be set!

  1. You can check the nameservers in DNS > Nameserver. For our nameservers the option “Default Websupport NS” must be set. If the option is not set, select it and save the change.

2. You can find out if our default IP address is set in DNS > Overview

There is a Websupport Web option in Quick Settings that must have the Active tag. If the Active tag is not displayed, just select the “Set” option and confirm the change.

Please, note, if you set up our Nameservers or DNS records together with Webforward, the redirection will take up to 2-24 hours to take effect.
