If you use mailboxes on the hosting service, it is possible to migrate them to Business Mail service. Please follow the steps below to migrate.
1. Export of contacts and calendar from Roundcube
If you have decided to migrate from email hosting to Business Mail, the very first step should be a “backup” of the contacts and the calendar/s.
For each mailbox, it is necessary to make the export from the Roundcube interface: https://mail.websupport.sk. Save downloaded files on your computer and import them after completing the migration and logging in to the new service interface.
Export of contacts
- Log in to your mailbox in the Roundcube interface from which you want to export the contacts
- Click on the Contacts button in the left menu
- In the upper right bar click the arrow next to Export -> Export All.
- A file in the .vcf format will be downloaded to your PC, which you should keep.
Export of calendars
- Log in to your mailbox in the Roundcube interface from which you want to export the calendar/s
- In the left menu, click on the Calendar button in the left menu
- In the upper right bar, click the Export button
- In the new window, choose which calendar you wish to export, to what extent and whether it should include attachments
- After clicking on the Export, a file in the .ics format will be downloaded to your PC, which you should keep
It is necessary to export each calendar separately.
2. Business Mail order and the automated migration
After creating the backup of the contacts and the calendars, you can proceed to the next step, which is ordering the Business Mail service. Order at least as many licenses as there are mailboxes that will be migrated from the hosting. When ordering, choose the Premium license, which can be changed to another package later in the Webadmin.
Each new order includes a 60-day Free Trial – during the trial period you can try the service with the highest Premium license. You can find more information about the Free Trial here
After submitting the order, the migration of the hosting mailboxes starts automatically. This process can take from a few minutes to several hours depending on how many mailboxes are being migrated and their size.
(You don’t have to worry, you won’t lose your emails that come during the migration, everything will be properly synchronized when you first time log in to the new interface of the Business Mail service).
After the migration is complete, you will receive a “Welcome email” to the Free Trial confirming that the migration was successful.
Passwords for mailboxes do not change. Log in to the new interface with the same credentials via the standard WebMail login page
