Subdomains are domains of 3rd level such as admin in the URL admin.active24.eu. Their usage and creation is completely at the domain owner’s behest.
On the Active24 servers are subdomains represented as separate directories in the sub directory.
To create a subdomain all you need to do is create the directory. After its creation you can use right away – for example to upload your website into it. To delete your subdomain simply delete the directory.
To have your subdomain accessible to the visitors it needs to contain an index file (index.html, index.php, etc.). An error 403: Forbidden (Access Denied) will be displayed for security reasons if the directory is completely empty.
To create a subdomain simply create a subdirectory in the sub directory. Or you can follow the guide to create new FTP account where you can create new subdirectory along with FTP access.
If you need to set for your domain e.g. a PHP version, you can follow this guide:
1. In the Services select your Domain, then select Web in the left menu. Go to Web -> Services
2. Select Create new service to display web content
3. Then you need to set caching, PHP version, root and source directory
4. After selecting desired options select Save and the service will show in the list of services
