Assigning your domain to The Hosting

Guide for beginners

Assigning domain to the hosting is the first step when acquiring a new hosting. This operation automatically sets all other settings – creates FTP storage, database storage, e-mail storage and administration. Domain can be assigned as web or redirect.

Differences

Domain added as web has assigned storage and FTP account. It is also possible to add e-mails and database storage for the domain.
By using redirect your domain will display the content of the hosting. However the domain will not gain access to FTP or databases, only e-mails.

Add as Web

To add your domain to The Hosting first you need to log in to the WebAdmin. In the Services tab select your Hosting service and in the hosting overview you can add new domain simply by selecting Assign domain.

Select Add as web option from the selection and save changes by selecting Assign domain. Steps are displayed bellow:

Add as Redirect only

Adding domain to the hosting as redirect is the same as for web.

Simply select your Hosting services and select Assign domain. In the next step you simply pick Add as redirect and confirm changes by selecting Assign domain.

Setting up the redirect

After you successfully add the domain, it is mandatory to set up the redirect itself. The guide to redirecting your domain is described in Redirect guide.
