Redirect

Guide for beginners

Redirect can help you to bring visitors from multiple addresses to one domain. You can choose yourself if the redirect will be hidden (masked) or visible (unmasked).

If you wish to redirect content of your domain to a different address, you can use hosting or Webforward. First step is to choose right method. If you are unsure, you can always contact our support and we will gladly help you with the choice.

  • Webforward is a separate service provided as part of the domain registration. It is only a redirect to the destination URL, it does not contain any other options such as emails.
  • Redirect under Hosting allows to redirect the domain while fully using the e-mail services and you can redirect the domain to a specific directory.

Setting Redirect for The Hosting

  1. Log in to the WebAdmin
  2. If the domain is not yet connected to the hosting, you need the first connect the domain to a hosting.
  3. Select your domain in the Services tab and then select Redirect in the left menu
(If your domain is assigned as Web, select section Web instead)
  4. On the redirect screen select Create new service
  5. Choose whether your want masked or unmasked redirect
  6. Fill in destination address where you want to redirect your domain to. If you have chosen masked redirect (with use of The Hosting) you can also set masking to a directory
  7. After the form is filled, select Save changes

  • after inserting your domain maskeddomain.com to a web browser the server will send content of mydomain.com to your browser
  • the browser will display the original domain – maskedomain.com
  • It is mandatory that mydomain.com is located on our servers

  • after inserting your domain unmaskeddomain.com to a web browser the server will display content of the domain mydomain.com
  • the browser will display destination domain – mydomain.com
  • destination domain mydomain.com does not have to be on our servers
