Guide for beginners
For customers who want to have theirs details more secured we prepared an option to activate two factor authentication. Two factor authentication will protect your account in a case that a potential attacker has gained knowledge of your login credentials. After activating this feature you will log in to your account with a username, password and one-time password that will be generated by an application (authenticator) or by authenticating via biometric / hardware key.
Activating two factor authentication
- Log in to the WebAdmin
- In the top right corner select your Username and then select Personal settings
- In the left menu select Login settings
- Activate two factor authentication feature
There you can choose from 2 options. Authentication via TOTP (Time-based One-time Password) application or via biometric / hardware identification.
- After selecting the option to use TOTP a backup codes will be displayed. These code will allow you to log in in a case your device with the paired application is not available. We recommend to keep these codes.
- Select continue.
- Download TOTP authentication application to your device (e.g. Google Authenticator)
- Open the TOTP application in your device and scan QR code or enter a displayed code.
- Then enter the 6-digit code from the application in the WebAdmin administration.
After entering the code in the WebAdmin administration you need to confirm the addition of the account in the application right away since the code has limited validity. Select Save to finish the process.
If you have chosen the biometric / hardware identification please follow the displayed instructions.
